Impact on the Community

The NPS Foundation is proud to help NPS students, faculty, and staff make a difference in the local Monterey community. We are also happy to provide opportunities for local community members to interact with NPS students, faculty, and staff, to become a part of the Naval Postgraduate School family.

We offer:

• Informational booths at local athletic events through our recreational cycling and running clubs
• Opportunities for local members to visit the Naval Postgraduate School campus
• Quarterly Member Events for local supporters to learn about the Naval Postgraduate School and current defense topics

We participate in:

• Official NPS Community Events (Memorial Day Concert on the Lawn, Centennial Celebration, NPS Energy Fair)
• Local athletic events through our recreational running and cycling clubs

We provide:

• Networking opportunities for community members with NPS students, faculty, and staff
• Opportunities for community members to attend on campus events such as NPS Foundation Quarterly Events and the Grand Winter Ball
• Opportunities to hear guest lectures at the Naval Postgraduate School
• A connection to the student population to find volunteers for local events
