NPS Foundation Goes Green

The NPS Foundation took part in the NPS Centennial Energy Fair on October 22, 2009. In a campus wide effort to go green and save energy, NPS planned this informational fair to educate NPS students, faculty, and staff on the latest green technology. The NPS Foundation is also working on doing our part to go green. In our Peacock Store we offer apparel made of sustainable products such as bamboo and also offer apparel made of organic cotton. We hope to soon carry an even greater selection of green products. Our new website will also offer us better electronic ways to communicate, thus cutting down on our paper usage for mailings to members. We plan on continuing to find new ways to make our office more environmentally friendly. If you have an idea to help the NPS Foundation be more green, please email Natasha Merkle at nmerkle@nps.edu.
