NPS Running Club to meet Tim Borland star of FEAT: 63 Marathons in 63 days

Posted: Thursday, April 1, 2010

Tim Borland who ran 63 marathons in 63 days to bring awareness for Ataxia Telangiectasia / A-T  (a rare, recessive genetic disorder in children) will be in Monterey for the Big Sur Marathon and will be showing his documentary on Friday, April 23rd at the Golden State Theatre.  The NPS Running Club is hosting a meet and greet with Tim Borland, as a benefit to club members.

The premise of the documentary is watching Borland complete 63 marathons in 63 consecutive days to raise awareness about A-T.  Borland runs through rain, gusting winds, and the hottest Chicago Marathon on record to complete his goals.  Packing himself, his wife, and their two small children into an RV, the Borlands cross 29 states from California to New York.  Between beautiful shots of Borland soldiering on through America's diverse landscapes, you'll meet three families struggling with A-T.
