Naval Postgraduate School Earth Day Celebration

The NPS Earth Day celebration will commemorate the 40th anniversary of the original Earth Day, and is sponsored by Public Works Department, Monterey with support from the Alumni Relations Office/Centennial Headquarters, the NPS Foundation and the City of Monterey.  The event will feature informational displays, contests and giveaways. 

Highlights include a live display of the Energy Management Controls System which monitors all the HVAC systems on base, a live display of the newly installed photovoltaic panels installed on Halligan, Knox and Watkins, City of Monterey Waste Management and Composting, Monterey Public Library Bookmobile, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Bicycling Monterey, and the Association of Monterey Bay Governments.

The NPS Earth Day Celebration will take place on April 22nd on the NPS Quad between Root Hall and Ingersoll Hall from 1100 - 1400.  The Earth Day celebration will also feature music and food.  Please stop by and learn about what you can do to be a better global citizen of the earth.
