NPS Foundation will give ten awards at this quarter's Graduation Awards Ceremony

The NPS Foundation grants awards quarterly to deserving students and faculty in a variety of disciplines at the Naval Postgraduate School.  This June, the NPS Foundation will present ten awards including the second Gary Laughlin Patriot Award ($5,000 award) in honor of distinguished NPS supporter, businessman and former U.S. Marine, Gary Laughlin.  The Gary Laughlin Patriot Award is awarded to a deserving student who exemplifies distinction in academics and leadership.

Other awards that will be presented by the NPS Foundation include: 

Air Force NSA Award - Awarded to the top USAF Graduate ($500)

Hans Jones Award - Awarded to the top two students with the best theses in the department of Defense Analysis ($500 each)

International Student Award - Awarded to the top International Student ($500)

Louis Liskin SIGS Award - Awarded to the top student from the School of International Graduate Studies ($500)

Williams SIGS Award - Awarded to an outstanding professor in the School of International Graduate Studies ($500)

Church Award - Granted to the top mathematics student ($250)

Schieffelin Award - Awarded to a faculty member who exemplifies excellence in teaching ($1,000)

Louis Liskin GSBPP Awards - Awarded to the top student and faculty member in the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy ($500 each)
