About the Grand Winter Ball
The Grand Winter Ball is the premier holiday event on the Monterey Peninsula, held each year on the first Saturday of December. This year the Grand Winter Ball was held on December 3, 2011 at 6:00 pm at the Naval Postgraduate School McNitt Ballroom. The historic ballroom which hosted majestic parties in the days of the Hotel Del Monte was transformed once again to showcase its grandeur for this elegant black tie event. The evening began with a champagne reception, followed by dinner and live big band dancing. Along with attending the black tie gala of the holiday season, guests had a chance to experience the wonder of this special school through interaction with current students of the Naval Postgraduate School, who were in attendance and seated at each dinner table.
Our Cause - Supporting Today's Military Leaders
All proceeds raised from the Grand Winter Ball support the Naval Postgraduate School Foundation in our mission to provide assistance to support critical defense education and research opportunities at the Naval Postgraduate School. NPS is a distinctive school, educating today's military leaders from over 50 countries to excel in their respective fields. Students make powerful progress to enhance the national security of our country every day at NPS. Students are able to take current issues that they have experienced in combat, or in the fleet, and develop real ways to fix these issues through research collaborations with world-class faculty. This special relationship between students and faculty, has helped NPS earn the title of the nation's premier national security research university. When you purchase tickets or sponsor a table at the Grand Winter Ball, you have assisted the NPS Foundation in our efforts to enhance and support the Naval Postgraduate School.

Individual Seats - $250 each
Table Sponsorship - Each table seats two table hosts, six guests, and an NPS student couple that will join your party. A portion of your donation is tax deductible.
