About the NPS Hockey Club
The NPS Hockey Club is a competitive, independent collegiate athletic organization sponsored by the NPS Foundation. The Team fields multiple squads in the Water City Roller Hockey League's four divisions in Marina, CA. Members of the Team have also formed travelling tournament teams that have participated in local, regional, and international roller hockey tournaments. While not located in the immediate vicinity of an ice rink, NPS Hockey maintains the ability to switch to ice hockey for tournament play.
NPS Hockey is devoted to providing a fun, safe, and rewarding extra-curricular experience to members of the NPS community through athletics, social interaction, and involvement within the school and the community.
Membership is open to all NPS faculty, staff, students, and dependents. Members are encouraged to take advantage of the NPS Foundation's membership opportunities as Enhanced or Premier Members. Members are responsible for their own WCHL dues ($160 per player and $0 per goalie per quarter for 11 games, roughly aligned with the academic quarter), their own USA Hockey Inline annual membership ($35 per year, valid August to August) their own equipment and uniforms, and their own tournament entry fees, lodging, and

NPS Hockey players wear customized Reebok Gamewear series NHL replica jerseys with sewn full-color NPS logos, two-color sewn twill numbers on the back and sleeves, and single-color sewn twill nameplate. Navy (or Away pattern) jerseys are required for league play. White (or Home pattern) jerseys are required for tournament play.
NPS Hockey does not keep uniforms in stock in the NPS Foundation Peacock Shop due to the specific nature, cost, and customization requirements of hockey jerseys. They may be ordered through the Team at a cost of $107 each plus shipping. Sizes are Adult S-2XL and Goal Cut. Numbers are unique and must be cleared by the Team. Team orders are periodically made and can be coordinated through a Team Leader via NPSHockey@nps.edu.

Events
Games, while in season, are played at Water City (2800 2nd Ave, Marina, CA 93933) on Monday (D League) and Tuesday (C League) nights between 6:30PM and 10:30PM. B League and A League play on Wednesdays and Thursdays, respectively, but we don't have teams in those divisions at this time. Instructional hockey is available for beginners on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Admission is free for spectators.
Pick-up Hockey is available at Water City on Friday from 5:30PM to 7:00PM and Sunday from 4:00PM to 5:30PM at a cost of $12. Call 831-334-4363 to reserve a space. We don't regularly attend pick-ups as a team, but email us and we'll get a few players to go. We meet on the second Thursday of every month in the Trident Room after 4:00PM. Look for NPS Hockey jerseys and come meet your teammates.
