RADM Skip Armstrong


USN (Ret.)

Rear Admiral Skip Armstrong retired from active duty with the United States in October 1987 after 32 years as a Naval Officer. A Naval Aviator with over 7,000 hours in more than 60 fixed and rotary wing aircraft, he held both aviation and surface ship commands. While on active duty, Admiral Armstrong's specialties were in the areas of strike warfare operations and in strategic planning, gaming and analysis.

Rear Admiral Armstrong retired from the Northrop Grumman Corporation in July 1995 after eight years. At Northrop Grumman he held senior executive level positions in general management, military customer requirements, program management and strategic and business planning.

Admiral Armstrong is a Senior Fellow of the Center for Civil Military Relations at the Naval Postgraduate School. In this position he has traveled extensively. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Naval Postgraduate School Foundation.
