Ambassador Program 

Student Ambassadors
As a student ambassador, you would be invited to meet foundation trustees, community supporters, and other foundation distinguished visitors from time to time to talk about yourself, your service, what you are studying, and your NPS Experience. Participation would be voluntary and on a case by case basis to fit your schedule. The foundation will ensure all engagement is within appropriate DoD guidelines. Alumni Ambassadors
We’re working hard to provide the best possible alumni association for NPS graduates, and we need your help. You can connect with fellow grads in ways we can’t, plus you can be in places across the country (and the world) to extend our face-to-face reach well beyond Monterey.

When you commit to becoming an ambassador, here’s what you can expect:

An annual commitment. We’re asking you to commit to being an alumni ambassador for at least one year. After that, it’s up to you. We’ll reach out to see if you want to continue being our boots-on-the-ground ambassador in your area. We’d love to partner with you for as long as you’re able to help!

Materials to promote alumni events in your area. If we’re coming to your area, expect an email from us with event details, a flier, and sample social media posts for you to share with your network. Don’t have a social media presence? No problem! We just want you to promote the event however feels natural for you, and you can help us identify how we can best get the word out in the area.

Requests for your input. As an engaged NPS graduate, we value your opinion. We may reach out to you periodically to get your feedback on alumni-related events, benefits, etc. Your input will be especially important as we plan events in your area, and we may ask for your help to determine the best location, time, date, and other event details.

The opportunity to host your own alumni event. If we’re not coming to your area and you feel inclined to put together your own alumni event (however big or small), we’re here to support you in promotion and planning. Exactly how will we help?

  • Promote the event to our network, which includes sending emails to our alumni database in your area.
  • Send you “NPS in a box.” Your event box includes alumni association brochures, alumni pins, branded name tags, and event signs.
  • Help with the logistics. We can help you source locations, provide marketing templates for your own promotion efforts, and brainstorm event ideas.
