Gordon Eubanks

Trustee Emeritus, NPS Foundation

From April 1999 to March 2005, Gordon Eubanks served as president and CEO of Oblix, a private software company. Mr. Eubanks managed the company’s rapid growth and established its position as the industry’s leading provider of enterprise identity management solutions. In March 2005 Oblix was sold to Oracle Corporation. Since 2005, he has been doing private investing and working with startup companies.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Eubanks served as president and chief executive officer of Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ: SYMC). During his tenure, Symantec evolved into one of the world’s most prominent security software companies. He also served his country as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy, serving in the Nuclear Submarine Force from 1970 to 1979.

Mr. Eubanks holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University and a M.S. in computer science from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He has been honored at both institutions, being inducted into the Hall of Fame of the OSU Engineering School and receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award at NPS.

Mr. Eubanks is an active philanthropist and a Trusstee Emeritus on the Board of Trustees at the NPS Foundation. He resides in Pebble Beach, California with his wife Ronda.
