Tapping into Innovation

Recent and upcoming site visits to industry partner facilities and academic institutions are poised to strengthen NPS’ partnership portfolio. The NPS Foundation is facilitating and attending these site visits as well as attending the follow-on feedback sessions where the faculty and staff participants discuss their observations with NPS leadership and other faculty. Follow up discussions topics include opportunities for partnership as well as inclusion of observed facilities, technologies and best practices into the future of NPS.

The recently opened technology demonstration room in the Dudley Knox Library at NPS, facilitated and supported by the NPS Foundation, has drawn visits by a number of senior defense leaders and corporate partners in its first month. The tech demo room highlights NPS’ value as an innovation center for national security solutions and as a critical enabler of DOD-Industry partnerships. Notably, both TMGcore and Microsoft have used the room to provide tech demonstrations and discuss the research and solutions they are developing at NPS.
